The Adinah team has considerable knowledge and experience in the telecoms, media, ITC, oil and gas, health care, construction, manufacturing and industrial sectors. Furthermore, we are able to call on a team of private equity, corporate finance, IT and financial associates and consultants in order to provide the correct level of experience and support to its investments.

The Adinah approach builds on the history of its founders who have successfully built and grown companies to scale, including IPO’s and major trade sales over the last 18 years in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Tony Ruiters

BA (UCT), HDE (UCT), Executive Diploma Business Studies (Stanford)
Tony is an entrepreneur and businessman with current and previous experience in building and growing businesses in the energy and petroleum, financial services, investment banking, corporate finance, asset management, media and ITC sectors.Prior to going into business Tony served in the anti apartheid struggle and trade union movement (Numsa and Cosatu). After serving in various capacities in the public sector, he left to co-found African Harvest Ltd in 1997, a listed company on the JSE in the financial services sector. He has also been involved in setting up a number of companies in South Africa, East, West, and Southern Africa and served as an advisor to a number of significant BEE transactions.Tony has previously served on a number of boards of listed and unlisted companies in a range of sectors and was a member of the African Venture Capital Association and a founding director of Imasa (now Asisa). Until the Telkom takeover, he was the non-executive chairperson of Business Connexion Group, a group he co-founded.

Riaz Angamia

Riaz is a Chartered Accountant and a CFA charterholder with over 13 years' Transaction Advisory experience across Africa and the Middle East. His experience spans Investment Banking, Auditing, Financial Management, Regulatory Finance, Competition Economics, Dispute Financial Advisory and Strategy Consulting. He has previously performed senior roles at Deloitte Corporate Finance (Middle East), Genesis Analytics (South Africa), PwC Corporate Finance (South Africa) and Standard Bank (South Africa).

Azhar Dockrat

Azhar is completing his Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Financial Management) at UNISA.Azhar joined Adinah Capital Partners as an intern in 2014. He successfully completed his internship and has joined the Adinah team as a junior analyst in 2016.

Senior Gwangxu

Senior supports the Adinah team as its office manager. Senior has several years of experience the logistics, maritime and oil and gas industries and been involved in start-ups in the asset management, private equity and venture capital industries.

Alex Darko

FCCA and MSc Management Information Systems
Alex is a seasoned management consultant, organizational culture and change management specialist and executive mentor with over 30 years of global multi-industry experience in Europe, the USA and Africa. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holds a MSc. in Management Information Systems.Alex held a number of senior positions at Dun & Bradstreet, including director of UK shared services, director of finance – Dun & Bradstreet Europe Ltd and head of accounting re-engineering. He later moved back to Ghana and worked for Ashanti Goldfields in a number of senior roles. Alex was vice-president, knowledge and information at AngloGold Ashanti from 2005 to 2010He has advised and assisted a number of organisations to successfully develop and implement strategies, improve leadership effectiveness, manage major organisational changes and transform their cultures. This includes assessing, designing and implementing new cultures to support merged organisations.Alex is a director at Nkululeko Leadership Consulting and serves as a non-executive director on the Boards of Barclays Africa Group, Consolidated Infrastructure Group and Safintra (Pty) Ltd and previously served on the Boards of Business Connexion Group and the Mazor Group.

Andrew John Brauer

Diploma Post and Telecomunications, BSc Information Technology
Andrew is currently self-employed working on Fintech, Renewable Energy and Artificial Intelligence, previous position Chief Technology Officer Business Connexion.Andrew has 40 years of extensive local and international ICT experience having been involved in researching and introducing new technologies to create business value. He has specialized in networking telecommunications, system management, software development and service- orientated architecture, cloud computing.Andrew has worked on most of the technologies in the ICT arena. These include: electronics, telecommunication, software development, system and network management, system integration, strategy, operations, management, Consulting and business development.Leadership roles that Andrew held over the years include technical director, chief information officer and executive director. His role at Business Connexion was both CIO and CTO – both positions being internally and externally focused.

Phuti Tsukudu

MEd, PGD Adult Edu, BA (SW)
Phuti is currently the Managing Director of Tsukudu Associates, an Organisational Development and Management consulting company she founded in 1994.Phuti has extensive experience consulting in Organisational Development, Human Resources Management and Human Resources Development in the public, private and non-governmental sectors.Phuti’s experience as an independent consultant spans over 25 years and as a community development practitioner working in the development arena for over ten years.Phuti has and continues to serve on many company boards in the public and private sectors.
